    Hi all,

I was trying to use the evaluation version of NoMachine Enterprise Desktop with a Windows Server instance on Amazon AWS.

    Here are what I did:

    * After creating the instance, I log there using Windows Remote Desktop

    * Then, I downloaded google chrome, installed it, and downloaded the NoMachine Enterprise Desktop

    * Then I installed the Enterprise desktop normally

    * Then, I added the following security groups:

    – TCP, port 4000, to be accessed by any IP (0.0.0.0/0)

    – TCP, port 4080, to be accessed by any IP (0.0.0.0/0)

Then I tried from my laptop browser: http://<machine URL>:4080

Usually, the result used to be: “Either” connection refused, “Or” <ip> took too long to respond

I can’t figure out now how to proceed.

Notice that I trued while connecting using the Windows Remote Desktop (RDP), to open the browser and go to: http://localhost:4080,

This worked, but whenever it asks me for user name and password, I got “authentication failure”. I don’t know exactly what should I write for username and password.

But the previous experiment means, most probably, the server is running, but the problem is, most probably something related to Amazon firewall or Amazon security group.

Are there any guide about how to set up NoMachine Enterprise Client for Amazon AWS?

    Thank you,

Actually that post is also my question. I asked the same question twice because I felt that my 1st post had an problem as it didn’t appear immediately on the forum. I didn’t realize that the post takes some time to be posted.

So, I am sorry for this inconvenience. I think you can delete this question and keep the other one.

    Thank you so much,

    Moustafa
