I use NoMachine 4.2.27 to connect from a Windows 7 client to a Open SUSE linux machine. I installed the program in both. From the Windows 7 the Linux machine is visible in ‘Browse connections’. If I try to connect I get as far as the program asking for my username and password. Then I get the error “Cannot connect to the requested display”. Protocol is NX and port 4000 (defaults). The Linux box is running, and there is nobody logged in. Both machines are in the same LAN (university). I can connect with PUTTY, no problem.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
