    Hi, folks,

I am trying to connect to a VM instance(Ubuntu16.04) I created on GCP(Google cloud platform) from my local Win10 machine. Somehow, I cannot establish the connection. Could you please help me with this? I basically follow this passage

The only difference is just the version of NoMachine I install. I use the below command to download and install it on my VM.

    https://download.nomachine.com/download/7.6/Linux/nomachine_7.6.2_4_amd64.deb

    sudo apt install ./

    nomachine_7.6.2_4_amd64.deb

The NoMachine I install on my Win10 is also 7.6.2, the latest version downloaded from the official website. Then after install NoMachine on both my VM and local machine. I try to connect to the VM from my local Win10 machine through NoMachine. But it always stuck in the below page(see attached capture.png). And there is no any error or warning prompt. Could you please help me with that? The IP address I try to connect is the external IP of the VM(see attached capture2.png and capture3.png)

    Hi yukeyyang,

In this article that you mentioned Accessing your remote desktop on Google Cloud Platform via NoMachine,  can you please check in the section Preparing the Virtual Machine if by any chance you missed the step below?

“Click on the menu button for your VM instance and go to the “View network details” of the new VM to configure firewall settings and enable incoming connections on tcp port 4000 which is the default NoMachine port for connections by NX protocol.”
