I have a setup with one Enterprise Server and four Terminal Servers. We need to change the IP address of them all. I wanted to change the IP’s one at a time but started to have problems immediately following the first change. I did the following

On enterprise server, I did nxserver –nodedel server:4000

On terminal server, I reconfigured the server and rebooted. Server is back on network.

On enterprise server, I did nxserver –nodeadd server and received the following error.

NX> 185 WARNING: Cannot retrieve resource list from the node.
NX> 194 WARNING: Could not connect to the remote node.

I can telnet from enterprise server to terminal server on port 4000 and get connected so there definitely isn’t a firewall blocking. What else do I need to change in order for this to work?

    Thanks,

    Pat

environment is as follows using free version throughout:

terminal server running on RedHat Linux

    >rpm -qa | grep nomachine
    nomachine-terminal-server-node-4.6.4-15.x86_64

    Hello patemery67,
We will need debug NoMachine server logs to investigate further.
    Please follow the instructions here:
    https://www.nomachine.com/AR07K00677

Please enabled debug level logs on multi-node server and on the remote node.
Reproduce the issue and please gather logs from both hosts.
    Send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com

My apologies for not updating this sooner. The problem turned out to be a network segmentation issue. The new IP’s were on a different VLAN that the old VLAN could not communicate with. I had to change the IP of the master server in order for the node add’s with the new IP addresses to work. This issue is resolved
