I’ve used NoMachine mainly from Fedora to Windows for at least 6 years, and have been very pretty happy with the results.

For the past four years, I’ve been running on a custom machine running various Fedoras (now  F36) against a Lenovo T470s running Win 10.

I now need to run it with a Lenovo T14s, also running Win 10.

I cannot convince the new T14s to keep a 1920×1080 resolution, as the old T470s did; it wants to go full 3840×2160. Whenever I change the display settings from the NoMachine dialog, the T14s either (a) is erratically responsive to mouse actions, (b) is completely unresponsive to any mouse or keyboard actions, or (c) randomly sets the screen resolution with or without (usually without) any predictable response to mouse and keyboard actions.

    All clues gratefully accepted!

    Thanks,

    Fred

The problem disappeared after a Windows reboot.

Weird, but pretty standard for Windows machines – something I used to know, but had (mercifully) forgotten.
