    NoMachine 6.9.2 free version

Trying to connect to Ubuntu 1804 server from Windows 10.

I tried to compile the module like stated by https://www.nomachine.com/AR12J00658  .

Even after building nothing shows up. It shows MODPOST 1 but even then nothing shows up in the connect usb devices.

    Hi,

If there are no devices visible it means that USB forwarding is disabled at least on one machine.

Can you please do the following:

    1. Start session, go to USB devices forwarding tab, forward flash drive, wait 1 minute.

    2. Collect and send Windows client-side logs as described here https://www.nomachine.com/DT10O00163#2.3

    3. Collect and send Linux server-side logs as described here https://www.nomachine.com/DT10O00163#1.1

    4. Send logs from Windows part as described here: https://www.nomachine.com/AR10K00697

    5. Run in Linux terminal following command and copy here it’s output.

    lsmod | grep nxusb

Please perform all these actions during a launched session and before devices forwarding restart both machines.

They can be sent directly to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com making sure you use the topic title as the subject of your email.

    Hi,

based on provided logs I can say that the USB Forwarding module is disabled on your Windows machine.

Few steps that might help us to detect the issue.

    1. Do you use ASMedia USB Controller on your Win machines? More details.

    2. Check, do you have any conflicting software installed on the machine?

    3. Send us logs from your Win machine, how to collect them is described here: AR10K00697

As far as I know there is no conflicting software installed. I also do not use ASmMedia USB controllers,I use the default Windows controller.

    Hi,

Can you please test these 2 things also?

    1. run Win command prompt (CMD) and run following command:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\NoMachine\bin>nxservice32.exe –usbport

    Paste the output here.

    2. Do you have a way to connect to another machine o try to find on what part USB forwarding is not working?

    1. This app can’t run on your pc

2.It works when connecting from other machines.

I’ve tried troubleshooting and it is definitely not an issue of conflicting software.

    Hi,

Looks like in point 1 was a typo. Please try this.

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\NoMachine\bin\nxservice32.exe" --usbport

    The same error occurs.
