    Hello,

I would like to connect a Mac to a Linux Centos vps. NoMachine was installed exactly according to the instructions provided, and installed on Mac using the .dmg package. Port 4000 was opened using WHM > ConfigServer Security & Firewall.

While connecting to NoMachine using the NX protocol there is an error message:
“Could not connect to the server.
    Error is 61: Connection refused”

How can this error be fixed?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you run debug, restart nxserver (sudo /usr/NX/bin/nxserver --restart) and send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com? Please send also nxplayer logs (~/.nx) from client side (your Mac in this case). Instructions about debug and collecting logs you can find there: https://www.nomachine.com/DT07M00098.

Are you sure that port is not blocked on Centos host? Which CentOS and VPS hosting are you using?
