    Hi everyone,

I have been using NoMachine for around a year now between my PC (Windows) and my work computer (Linux) without any issue.

Recently though I keep getting the following error:

“A connection timeout has occurred while trying to connect to [my work computer] on port ‘4000’. The issue could either be caused by a networking problem, by a firewall or NAT blocking incoming traffic or by a wrong server address. Please verify your configuration and try again.”

I contacted my works IT guy and he solved the problem (by resetting the kernel on my computer) but it keeps happening everyday and he says he isn’t sure why it keeps locking up but he seems to solve it every time I email him. I would rather know how to fix it on my end for good.

I have attached the service log from the most recent error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Hannah

PS I have updated to the latest version of NoMachine (free version).

What’s the Linux distribution and version? I take it you are connecting to a computer with the free version installed? Please try submitting the file, which failed to attach, to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.
