I’m running the NoMachine client on Windows connected to an Ubuntu server. Things are generally working well except for one thing: I can’t send a ctrl+space key. This is a problem since this key is used all the time by Emacs users, of which I’m one. I’ve tried it both with “Grab the keyboard input” set and not set, with no success. alt+space does work, for example.

Any idea on how to get ctrl+space to work? Using server version 4.2.27.

    Please, could you

    1. run xev > xev.out
    2. press Ctrl+space
    3. close xev
    4. send us xev.out.

mishkin, is it possible that you have an application (server side) that has registered Ctrl+Space as hotkey?

Thanks @Graywolf. You’re right: the problem was actually that some software on the server was grabbing ctrl+space.
