Hello! I have this issue: when I move or resize a window, the cursor lags behind noticeably.

In other cases it moves without lag.

Is it possible to always display client’s cursor even if manipulated window will still lag behind (I guess the “problem” somehow related to displaying server’s cursor instead of client’s in this scenario)?

    My setup:

    • Host: Linux Mint 20
    • Guest (QEMU VM with NoMachine server 7.0.211): Ubuntu 20.04
    • Remote PC on LAN (with NoMachine client 7.0.211): Windows 10 32 bit
    • Remote cursor displaying: off

    Hi,

what you describe is the intended behaviour. On dragging operations NoMachine hides the local cursor and shows the remote cursor instead, so that the cursor sticks to the object that is being dragged. This avoids the effect of the local cursor moving “forward”. At the moment there is no option to disable this behaviour.

Thanks for the info. I guess it would be nice to have an option to change this behavior, because at least in my experience of using VMs without GPU acceleration but with host’s cursor is better, even if manipulated object lags behind it…

    Hi,

I think you get a point and such option would be useful indeed. We opened a Feature Request to track it:

    Thanks for your useful feedback!

Wow, didn’t expect that! Thank you very much, I look forward to trying it someday 🙂
