    Hi everyone,

I tried to post this before, but it didn’t go through…

I am trying to connect to my mother’s computer (Ubuntu) from my Windows 10 laptop which is connected to my University network. We both run the latest Free version. I keep getting the 138 error and no connection. We have tried the following commands on Mom’s computer:

    sudo ufw allow 4000

    sudo ufw allow 4011:4999/udp

…but to no avail. I am still waiting on info from the school IT people, too.

Any idea what could be blocking me?

    Thanks!!

If you use native firewall you don’t need to add new rules to allow NoMachine connections.

Are you sure that you tried to connect to external IP and correct Port which is listed on “welcome window” NoMachine player on Ubuntu? There is an article with instructions on how to connect to NoMachine when the server is behind a NAT router or a firewall https://www.nomachine.com/AR11L00827.
