Error is 146: Not a data message

I have been using NoMachine on my Windows 10 (Pro – 19042.985) computer to control my Mac system (11.4) and it was working fine. Both machines are running 7.6.2.

Recently, I got an update on the Windows system, and now I can rarely connect to the Mac.

If I can connect, it stays connected and works fine, but usually, it makes a bunch of attempts (and I can hear/see the notifications on the Mac) and eventually reports back “Error is 146: Not a data message”

I’ve saved out the logs and even a concurrent screencap for one of these failed sessions, but I am not too familiar with the logs, so it hasn’t been super helpful.

Any ideas?
