Last night, I installed the latest linux version (4.4.12) of NoMachine on my Ubuntu Gnome 14.04LTS system, and the iOS version on my iPad.  I can now access the linux desktop using the iPad from within my local network, but when I try to access the desktop using the outside IP address for the desktop machine I get “Connection Refused – Error is 61.”  I have opened port 20808 (tcp) and and 4659 (udp) on my router as NoMachine is showing those as the ports used for remote access.

What am I missing here, folks?  Any and all suggestions to get this working will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Chris

I still haven’t been able to get this working.  Can’t anyone help, please?  I feel like I’m 90% there…  NoMachine *does* work from within my local network but that’s not very useful.  I’d *really* like to get it working so I can access my desktop from outside my local network.

Thanks for any suggestions/tips provided.  If anyone needs more info, just let me know what you need and I’ll post it.

    Thanks, again, for any help…

    Hello

We tried to reproduce the problem in our laboratory.
    Unfortunately we were unable to.

Could you please answer the following questions?

On the router is UPnP enabled?

Is port forwarding on the router set manually ?

Is the port 20808 redirected to the server IP and 4000 port ?

Do you see this port 20808 in the column “GW Port” on “Network Services” tab on server side ?

Please write what router you’re using.
