Hello. Is there a keyboard shortcut for simultaneous switching the mouse and keyboard grabbing ?

Mostly I use seamless integration with a remote host, but sometimes I need to use special keyboard combinations inside different softwares and I have to perform several clicks and choose the proper options inside NoMachine menu for mouse and keyboard grabbing. It’s very unconvenient.

    Hi.
Did you consider toggling keyboard grabbing with Ctrl + Alt + K (default) and keeping always on the pointer grabbing (Ctrl + Alt + Left click to release it)?

Cool. I haven’t known about this feature (releasing mouse pointer with Ctrl+Alt<Left Click>).

It seems it’s what I need. I hope, there will be no applications’ shortcuts which crossing with this one.

    Thank you!

Thank you for your feedback, I’ll make sure we track it and find a way to inform how the mouse pointer grabbing works.

One more thing good to know about.

I used to use Synergy (an application for sharing keyboard and mouse across different machines) and this app allows to switch to a diffirent screen (mouse and keyboard) through a pulling the mouse pointer to the other screen.

It was quite handy and I think it would be nice to adopt that practice in NoMachine.

Now I have to press keyboard buttons and make mouse clicks for mouse pointer releasing  instead of just pulling mouse pointer to required screen. Too many actions to do, in my view. It can be more naturally in terms of physical movements.

PS. Let’s improve user experience 🙂

We’ve worked on a solution like this years ago, but during our testing the experience with some games was not very friendly because the mouse pointer was released in the worst moments! 🙂 Even after some tweaking we never reached a perfect solution covering all test cases, so in the end we gave up. Since you’ve shown some interest we could eventually include this pointer release mode through a configurable option. I’ll discuss it with UI designers.
Thank you for your feedback. 🙂
