    Hi

I have enabled “use acceleration for display processing” and H264, I have NVIDIA 1060 with NVIDIAs own closed source driver and hardware video acceleration is working fine in media players that support nvenc, 8k 60fps no problem.

However NoMachine still uses VP8 without hardware acceleration even though I have selected H264 with hardware acceleration, massive frame drops when playing video due to CPU encoding.

    grep -i encod /usr/NX/var/log/node/C-*/session   produces

    Info: Using Vp8 software encoder.

Client is android linux , client version latest and server version is latest. I reinstalled nx server from scratch made no difference.

Any ideas, I checked all the logs but no mention of errors to do with video or codecs or hardware acceleration.

    Any ideas?

NoMachine on Android doesn’t yet support H.264 acceleration, but it is planned. Please consult its feature request here:
