    Hi,

I am trying to connect to an Ubuntu 18.10 headless desktop, and I can achieve only 640×480 screen resolution. In order to get 1440×900 I have first to stop the desktop manager and restart nx server, which is a little bit tricky to do every time.

Don’t you have a better solution for this?

    Thanks

    Hi,

you can disable the desktop manager permanently:

    systemctl stop display-manager
    systemctl disable display-manager

Alternatively you can use a HDMI Dummy Plug adapter.
