    Hi!

The connection list screen of my player latest v5 installed on Win10 got populated with a connection icon which I cannot remove. There is no “remove” option on right click on this connection, no .nxs file in /users/user/documents/NoMachine folder. The symbol of the connection icon resembles network symbol, not globe. In “Edit” screen this connection is defined as “Located through local discovery service” rather than “Direct connection over the internet” like on all other connections, which have “remove” option in their properties and a .nxs file and which are removable.

Any suggestion how to get rid of this listing?

There are two ways to do that: 1) if you are the owner of the computer which is showing up in the local desktop connections list, then you can disable the ‘Advertize on the network’ feature in the Connection Preferences of that PC. See here: https://www.nomachine.com/DT11M00106#3.1. for more details. That way, no one on the same network will see this computer.

    2) If you simply don’t want to see this or any other computer (also those owned by other users) on the same network as you, follow the instructions here for the NoMachine Player on the machine/device you are connecting from, https://www.nomachine.com/DT11M00106#2.5.
