If i have to attend to other things on my remote pc,  and if too much time has elapsed, the remote session becomes unresponsive ie. freezes, and will either self terminate, ( drop the connection )  or I have to quit the session, and start another.

Is there a way to keep the connection alive?

do I have to change any settings on the remote to allow this?

[both client and host set to auto update.  free versions: host win7; remote client win 10  ]

    Thanks in advance

After some time of idleness, the operating system is closing down non-active connections. It depends on the OS.

Can you try keeping an application window (e.g. Firefox) in the background? Please let us know if it helps.

I tried leaving a internet explorer open on the server/host/remote machine. I was doing other things on the client/local machine, and when I tried to use the session, the window still remains in place, but the mouse is unresponsive, and the session has to be terminated and restarted.

    so problem remains.

We reproduced the issue in our labs. A fix will be probably released in the next software update.

    You can track it here:

    Thanks for reporting 😉
