Issues on resuming session – Workstation

We have an old version 3 platform on a Sun Workstation with SuSE11 KDE3 working superbly but need to get a more modern SuSE install working on virtual hardware so have OpenSuse Tumbleweed with the Workstation “server”.

Mostly this is OK but occasionally on reconnecting I can’t start any new applications.  Existing apps are fine.  Running xhost shows “Can’t connect to display” but DISPLAY is correct.  nxerror.log shows “xhost: unable to open display “”.  Other times a reconnect to session is fine but once issue arises I need to logout/in to correct.

Just so I understand the issue you have:

 

– you have installed NoMachine Workstation version 6 on OpenSUSE

– sometimes you can reconnect, other times you can’t?

– you are running a virtual desktop or custom session with NoMachine?

 

Please write here the typical steps to reproduce the problem.
