    System configuration:

    • Raspberry Pi Buster will all updates running on Raspberry Pi 400.
    • NoMachine 7.10.1 on Raspberry Pi.
    • iPad Air 5th gen with iOs 15.5 and Apple Magic Keyboard (3rd generation).
    • NoMachine for iPad 6.1.9.

    Problem:

When using my new iPad go connect to my Raspberry Pi 400, many keys on the Apple Magic Keyboard do not work.  For example, the space bar does nothing when I press it.  To enter a space I must hit Shift-space.

Up and down arrows to nothing.  This make is difficult to scroll through one’s command history.  Left and right arrows do not work.

Sometimes I’m able to bring up a “soft” keyboard where spacebar works, but I cannot do this reliably.

Tab key does not autocomplete commands.

This makes it very difficult to perform tasks on my Raspberry Pi.

Are you planning on releasing a new iPad app any time soon?

I love NoMachine, it works very well when I connect to my Pi from Ubuntu and MacOS.  But my iPad is easier to carry around.  Thanks!

Hi, we have not been able to reproduce the behaviour that you have described above. You could try connecting to another desktop from the same iPad to check if you have the same problems. Also check whether the language set on the iPad keyboard is the same as the one set on the system keyboard on the Raspberry.
