    Server:

    Debian 10

    LXDE

    LightDM

NoMachine (free last release 6.12.3_7_amd64, .DEB file)

    Client:

    Windows 8.1

    NoMachine (free last release 6.12.3)

    ———–

    Hello,

I’m testing NoMachine (free last release 6.12.3_7_amd64, .DEB file) to acces a VPS under “Debian 10” with LXDE+LightDM from a “Windows 8.1” client.

When I quit Debian session (logout from LXDE desktop), it takes about 15 secondes to get the greeter.

    Is it normal ?

I don’t have this delay with concurrent products (it takes only one second)…

    Regards,

    Steve.

    Hello.

With how the session detection works right now it could be normal, unless there is a suspicion that something is hanging within the processes (both NoMachine or
    lxde).

In theory when doing logout the Xserver for desktop should immediately shut down, which triggers the shut down of NoMachine agent. That should prompt new agent to be
launched for Login Window session. When the shut down of Xserver or agent is delayed though there could be a lag period.

Please check if there are any errors or warnings in /user/NX/var/log/nxserver.log file that could be pointing to an issue.

    /Mth

Could these errors explain the long delay to logout ?

    How to solve them ?

    Thanks,

    Regards,

    Steve.

    Hello

These errors should not be the cause of delay, they are from procedure that is started after the switch is detected.

Most likely right now there is no way to speed it up.
