Hi, the !M icon is missing from my menu bar. I’m running mac OS High Sierra 10.13.4 on a 2017 Macbook Retina. This is only my second or third time opening up NoMachine but I can’t figure out why the icon disappeared on its own. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

We aren’t able to reproduce the problem. Did you make any system changes on your Mac? Logs would probably tell us something more.

    – Open Terminal
    – Execute the command tar -czf nxclient-logs.tar.gz ~/.nx/M-*
    – Execute the command tar -czf stacks.tar.gz ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/nx*
    – Execute the command sudo tar -czf nxvarlog.tar.gz /Library/Application\ Support/NoMachine/var/log/

In the Finder window you’ll find the files nxclientlogs.tar.gz, stacks.tar.gz and nxvarlog.tar.gz. Please send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.

Hi there, I am having this same problem. Please see attached image.

This was taken on the free version of NoMachine, v6.2.4. I have encountered the problem on Mac 10.13 and 10.14.

Hi. Could you kindly execute this command in Terminal (located in Applications => Utilities) on the machine where you don’t see the icon?

    tar -czf nxclient-logs.tar.gz ~/.nx/M-*

Send to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com the TAR.GZ archive. We’d like to check if you’ve problems with the image file. Thanks.

I have the same problem on macOS 10.14. Not so bad because I can just start NX manually, but still.

Did the archive the logs command you suggested, but:

    crispin$ tar -czf nxclient-logs.tar.gz ~/.nx/M-*

tar: /Users/denning/.nx/M-*: Cannot stat: No such file or directory

    also …

    crispin$ ls .nx

    ./

    ../

Hi. Your problem may be a little bit different, so we’d like to check also current server/node logs. Please run the following commands in a Terminal window:

    cd /Library/Application\ Support/NoMachine/var
    sudo tar -czf NoMachine-log.tar.gz log

Compress as well the log of the failed process I see in your home directory:

    tar -czf nxclient-logs.tar.gz ~/.nx/F-M-*

    Thanks!

@airscott @jhnhndrsn can you let us know if the issue is still there using the latest version of the software (6.3.6)?
