Hi, did anyone had this issue?

I’m running ubuntu 16.04, x64. After installing NoMachine workstation and configuring the virtualgl, my PC stopped detecting the correct resolution of the physical screen and it is limited now to 1024×768. I’m not sure if to blame the NoMachine or not, since I did the installation remotely and haven’t checked the physical terminal for some time.

Even NoMachine does not see the physical screen (i.e. i don’t see the physical screen in the client any more). Uninstalling NoMachine does not solve the issue, so something in ubuntu went haywire.

I’d suggest to check if lightdm/gdm is running. Likely no screen is attached to the video output and display service failed because the video card went into low power mode.
