    Hello,

I’m running latest version of Slackware -current with Plasma KDE on a computer without monitor in runlevel 3.

With previous version of KDE, NoMachine client (both Windows and Linux) was able to start the display, but now I get this error message:

Cannot find the default environment. Please contact your system administrator.

I have done a fresh install of nxserver

    # tar -C /usr/ -xzf nomachine_7.7.4_1_x86_64.tar.gz

    # /usr/NX/nxserver –install slackware

Is anyone already figure this out ?

    Hi

Please edit /usr/NX/etc/node.cfg and set following key:

    DefaultDesktopCommand "/usr/bin/env XDG_CONFIG_DIRS=/etc/xdg:/etc/kde/xdg /usr/bin/dbus-launch --sh-syntax --exit-with-session /usr/bin/startplasma-x11"

Still on latest Slackware current if sound streaming is not working in runlevel 4 (KDE started from inittab):

Set “autospawn = no” in /etc/pulse/client.conf

This will be useful for others, I’m sure. Thanks for posting.
