    Hi there.

I apologize in advance for this question as it may be a simple fix I just can’t find an answer to.

When I connect to a remote machine using NoMachine, the user sitting at that computer cannot see my mouse movements. So imagine I connect to my lil old mother’s computer and am trying to show her where to click on her computer, she cannot see my mouse. Any idea how I would enable this?

    Thanks.

Upon connecting the person sitting in front of the computer you are connecting to should see the mouse being moved. Can you tell us a bit more about your set-up? What Windows version on the client side, what Windows version is on the computer you want to connect to remotely?

    Hey, thanks for the reply.

    Both machines are Windows 21H2

Here’s a possible hiccup. The user is not always in front of his machine, but sometimes logs in through [removed] remotely. I see his mouse moving fine, he just cant see mine if I have also remoted into his local machine . Now if I am sitting at his desktop and he’s logged in remote, he sees the mouse fine, it’s only when I log into his machine via NoMachine that he cannot see the mouse move while he’s remote.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you!

If I understand correctly, to get to the same desktop you are using NoMachine to connect, your friend is using another tool.

When you connect with NoMachine and the other tool to the same desktop, NoMachine is able to update the cursor position correctly when it is moved within the other tool’s session. So this is fine up to this point. But, the other tool you are using doesn’t update the cursor position when you are in a NoMachine session.

This would make it a problem of the other software you are using 🙂 Why not simply both of you use NoMachine?
