    Hello!
I have a Debian Buster Linux and an iMac with BigSur.

My problem is when I try to connect to my Linux server from Mac or Android. Always the message “no available sessions” appears on client.

    Attached are log files.

Do you have Desktop Environment (DE) installed on that debian? Is it headless? There is article with instructions how to install some GUI on linux: https://www.nomachine.com/AR04K00667#4.

If it’s headless after DE installation, please set adequate DefaultDesktopCommand in /usr/NX/etc/node.cfg (take a look on point 2.1 in mentioned article) and restart nxserver (sudo /usr/NX/bin/nxserver --restart). Then you should be able to connect.

Yes, I have a Desktop Environment installed.

I have Cinnamon and Gnome Shell (Gnome 3) installed. I use Xorg instead of Wayland.

The Linux machine is an ASUS Nitro 5 notebook.

Did you reinstall NoMachine? We are aware of a similar problem. Please take a look at this Trouble Report: Problem uninstalling a version 7 and then installing version 7.1.3.
If this is your case, please use the described workaround.

I uninstalled NoMachine with apt remove nomachine --purge, then I delete /usr/NX folder (rm -rf /usr/NX).

    /var/NX doesnt exist.

    I installed again with ‘dpkg -i nomachine_7.1.3_1_amd64.deb’.

But the same message appear on client (Android or Mac): No available session on this server.

It looks that there is a problem with the pam_mount module when creating sessions. Please refer to this article: How to solve hanging problems when creating a NoMachine session (pam_mount module is in use)

    Gotcha!

The problem was related to pam_mount. Thanks, Kroy!

I applied the second method from your indication How to solve hanging problems when creating a NoMachine session (pam_mount module is in use)

    Thanks, again!
