No mouse input after some time

Hello,

I am using NoMachine 4.0.369_1 and Ubuntu 13.10 on both client and server.

After some time (sometimes a day, but sometimes a few hours) I loose mouse input. I can still move the mouse but clicks are not registered. I need to reboot server machine to make it working again.

I am not sure what else to provide to make this problem easier to find and fix. So let me know if I can be of any further help.

I was also using Unity before. Switched now to Gnome to see if the issue reoccurs.

There is also a common case where mouse clicks are not being registered on the left menu bar and upper status bar. That is mouse clicks are registered only on the main current program window.

So after some time either this happens, or mouse clicks are not being registered at all.

are you experiencing those problems in a physical or virtual display?

Have you tried restarting the server rather than rebooting (/usr/NX/bin/nxserver –restart)?We had issues in the past with window managers grabbing the mouse and never releasing, so try also this one: compiz –restart

If you want to provide log files, please create a tarball including:

– the directory $HOME/.nx

– the directory /usr/NX/var/log

After changing to Gnome this problem seems to disappear.
