NoMachine launches without window (Mac)

Hi all,

I am a newbie here, so sorry if there is a report/solution about this posted somewhere before..

I have a Mojave (10.14.6) and NoMachine was working fine before. I ran it on a MacBook Pro without an external monitor.

Suddenly, from yesterday, there is no window shown when the app opened. I still see the menu on the top of the screen and the dot beneath the app icon on Dock indicating/meaning it is open but nothing shows.

I have tried to remove and download the latest version from NoMachine website (NoMachine_7.5.2_1.dmg) and install but no change. I also tried these step with another administrator account but still a problem.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

Hi. Please open the Console application from Utilities menu, select “User Reports” on the left column and click on the most recent file in the list on the right that has prefix “nxplayer_”. Right click the selected file, choose “Reveal in Finder” in the context menu, then send that file to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.
Confirm here if there are no files with that prefix, so we’ll discuss another way to debug your issue.

Hi there,

Thanks for your response and sorry for not replying sooner. It turned out our antivirus system had treated the libmdnsd.dylib file as threats and blocked it. After unblocking, everything is back to normal. Not sure why this file was scanned and categorized as a threat. Just want to give you some feedback.
