I see that the NoMachine login method is deprecated in version 6, and this is indeed the case as far as the Mac client goes. In the Windows client (I have 6.0.80 here) it still works. Why the different behaviour? Our Macs have 6.0.66 or 6.0.78 and I haven’t used an older v6 for Windows. Was the NoMachine login method put back in 6.0.80?

We still have an old v3 server, and this caused some confusion as our Mac users can’t connect but our Windows users can.

On the version 6 the ‘NoMachine login’ authentication method is no longer supported. On 6.0.80 packages it also shouldn’t be available.

Are you sure that this is the version installed on that Windows? Can you send player logs? They are in the .nx folder, which is placed in the home directory of the connecting client.

Also, if you are connected to an NX server version 3.5, please zip up the .nx directory and send file to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com.

The forums can’t handle potential issues with 3.5.0 servers (or clients) and this version is now legacy, so should we receive logs for this particular topic, it will be handled accordingly by the support team.
