But there is no solution prescribed in the thread. Also CPU and RAM are on respectively low usage, around 10%.

Found a work around. Changing the resolution of the server and restoring it back is solving the issue.

Can you give us more details of the problem you are/were experiencing? I’m not sure how lag can be affected the change of resolution.

– connecting client and server OS and version details
– what are you changing exactly and where/how?

To reproduce, connect to NoMachine server and leave it idle for the system to lock. Upon reconnection the mouse and keyboard input from NoMachine client will lag.

Additional info,

Client OS: Windows 10 Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042

Client NoMachine version: 7.6.2

Server OS: XUbuntu 20.04 with Xfce (V 4.14)

Server NoMachine version: 7.6.2

Also I am using display emulator to reduce the load on CPU.

Few tried remedies,

1. Disconnect and reconnect.
2. Restart the OS(works but not ideal)
3. Close all application.

I am experiencing the same issue; have attempted my client both on Ubuntu and Windows, server is MX Linux , works great till it locks. Then I have to rescale the resolution via the connection prompts to get the desktop to be responsive again.

Just discovered NoMachine and was looking like a great solution for my home LAN machines, this is a major bummer

Sorry for the delay. Probably we managed to reproduce this issue in our labs, but we would need a confirmation. Do you have the possibility to physically look at the server monitor while reproducing the slowness in the NoMachine session? Is the monitor in stand-by mode?
