I’ve been using NoMachine in a local network only. The server (version 7.10.2) is installed on Windows 10 PC and I access it via an Android client (version 6.1.9) without any issue. But whenever I turn on the VPN, I lose connection to the client. To access the PC even with the VPN on; I turn on the split tunneling and put some NoMachine’s processes on the exclusion list. Here are the processes that I put on the exclusion list.

    1. NoMachine Tray Monitor
    2. nxservice64.exe
    3. nxservice32
    4. nxserver
    5. nxpost
    6. nxplayer
    7. nxnode
    8. nxlpd
    9. nxlocate
    10. nxkeygen
    11. nxkb
    12. nxfsserver
    13. nxfs
    14. nxexec
    15. nxdx64
    16. nxdx32
    17. nxdisplay
    18. nxagent
    19. nxd
    20. nxclient
    21. nxauth

Unfortunately, none of them works. Please help.

    Hello sloke123,

We are trying to reproduce your problem with that VPN. We will come back to you soon if we need more information or if we have a solution.

If you have an update on your side, please let us know.

I think that topic is different than mine. I do not use it outside of my network. I know NordVPN won’t allow port forwarding. Do I need port forwarding on my internal network?

We checked in our labs here, and we have no problem with connections when NordVPN is also running. Did you try the connection to the correct IP? The MDNS port might be blocked so broadcasting host in the network won’t work in the player, but it is still possible to connect using IP address.

Thanks for the reply. I don’t know what went wrong. I uninstall and re-install the nomachine app from the Desktop and the Mobile. Now I can connect to the Desktop through Mobile. Thank you very much for the help and I am very sorry for the inconvenience.
