    Hello NoMachine Community,

I’m evaluating NoMachine Workstation – Version 6.2.4 (NoMachine Workstation Evaluation – Version 6.2.4) on Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS and trying to get a connection to the physical desktop as normal user, but it isn’t offered unless I add the user to trusted users – however then the logged in user doesn’t get any request.

The key “PhysicalDesktopSharing” in server.cfg is set to 1, so the comment says it should work.

I already found https://www.nomachine.com/FR11N03265 and it seems like the option 1 is no longer supported for terminal server products and Workstation is listed there.

With NoMachine Enterprise Desktop the connection to the physical desktop works as expected; the problem: NoMachine Enterprise Desktop is no option, because it doesn’t support virtual sessions.

Is there any possibility to let NoMachine Workstation accept the option PhysicalDesktopSharing 1 (except a feature request)?

Instead of enabling all users for physical desktop connections, it would be also ok, if trusted users couldn’t connect without confirmation of the other user – maybe there is an option for that?

    Thank you!

    Max

Right now it isn’t possible, but we have opened the following Feature Request which you can follow.
