    Hello, so I want to be able to connect to my computer at home from the internet.

    According to https://knowledgebase.nomachine.com/AR11L00827 I have forwarded port 4000 (both TCP and UDP) to my machine. Unfortunately trying to connect times out. I cannot disable the windows firewall due to corporate policy, but I have added two rules – one to allow connections on this port and another to allow connections to program nxnode.bin.

    Did I forget something? In server.cfg there is just one line:
    ServerRoot = “C:\Program Files (x86)\NoMachine”

    If I use this online tool it says the port is closed…

    https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ I suppose it should say it is open, right?

    Hi,

    ServerRoot = “C:\Program Files (x86)\NoMachine”

    This can be ignored, it’s nothing to worry about.

    Are you sure you’ve approved the changes to configure port-forwarding? You seem to have done everything correctly, including adding the rules in your firewall, but the online tool shows the port is closed…are you sure you are using the right IP address as the target computer?
