I’m using NoMachine 5.1.54 on Ubuntu server
    (4.4.0-38-generic #57-Ubuntu SMP Tue Sep 6 15:42:33 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux)

Memory and CPU consumption of nxnode is exploding. top shows:

PID USER      PR  NI    VIRT    RES    SHR S  %CPU %MEM     TIME+ COMMAND
    26035 photocc+   0 -20 3043512 364572  72016 S  31.2  4.5  80:31.06 nxnode.bin
    3853 photocc+  20   0  697804  35636   9636 S   2.3  0.4  56:54.48 gnome-terminal-
    1624 root      20   0  783268  78092  56544 S   1.7  1.0 142:03.04 Xorg
    20623 photocc+   0 -20 2179996  91884  22812 S   1.7  1.1   0:05.86 nxnode.bin
CPU of nxnode values are very volatile – changing from 60% to 20%. At 350MB resident memory, that seems high as well. Please advise.

Can you please provide more info:

    – Are you connecting to the physical display of the Ubuntu server or are you running virtual sessions?

    – And if you are running virtual sessions, is ‘Use X11 vector graphics mode’ checked? (it is by default)

    – What desktop environment is in use in the remote session (either in the physical display or in the virtual session)?

    – What graphics card and driver is installed on the remote system?
