I just upgraded to version (5.0.43 on both ends, mac 10 to linux (centos6.7)) in hopes of curing a recent issue.  Within the last two weeks I have begun to get intermittent lockouts where my (remote) desktop is covered in a semi-transparent mist with a large spinner in the middle of the screen.

While this is happening I am able to shrink the NX frame and ssh from my mac to the nx server (linux). Nothing in the nxserver var/log dir matches the timeframe. /var/log/Xorg.0.log is being flooded with

    [245562.320] AUDIT: Thu Oct 1 10:26:29 2015: 11454: client 47 connected from local host ( uid=493 gid=2290 pid=62002 )
    Auth name: MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 ID: 294
    [245562.320] AUDIT: Thu Oct 1 10:26:29 2015: 11454: client 47 disconnected

where uid=493 is “nx”, but these don’t match time-wise (and are too numerous to count)

These lockouts last ~15 seconds or so. Some more, some less.

This is all happening on an internal network. No vpn involved, no gateways.

    Hi iceback,

that spinner means that something is preventing the client side from receiving any data from the server. At present we are not aware of any other condition for it to show up than a real network outage. If this is not the case, please gather logs as exaplained in https://www.nomachine.com/DT04M00076 and send them to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com for further investigations.
