I’m having a problem on the 3 PCs I have, using Windows 8 and Win10 x64.
On Debian everything works fine, is installed on the same pc and I don’t have the same problem.
On both I have installed NoMachine, however every time I start the pc I have to go on this screen:
and click on gateway port to open it, Debian is done automatically but with windows no!
Also on Windows I have activated the settings “activate the automatic services at windows startup”:
Now to open the door in question I have to go to port forward on the router.

On Debian if i configure the UDP port on the router i have the same problem, at the os boot NoMachine is unable to open in automatic the GW port.

Today on my Dell using Windows 8 I found the port open when the operating system was started.
On any pc i have installed Debian+ Windows with NoMachine, on Dell for both OS is used the same GW port.
We are aware of issues when the GUI is not showing the the correct information which is documented here: https://www.nomachine.com/TR12N07384 and these will be fixed in an upcoming maintenance.
Can you tell verify whether this is the problem you are experiencing i.e the port shown in the GUI is not the port that is meant to be mapped?
Or is the problem that the port is opened sometimes, then other times it’s not open? If that’s the case, does it happen on both Windows and Debian? Or just Windows?

the first times only happened on Windows (i tested on 8.1 and 10 both x64), while now it also often happens on Debian 9.0 x64.
Often on Debian when it happen i only need to go in preference and click to check the GW door that remains the same at any boot of the pc:
on Windows i need to configure the port forward on router settings in order to open the gw port in question, because otherwise this error comes out:
i have NoMachine 6.0.78 for Linux and also on Windows i use the least version.

we would need some more information
1. Router name and model.
2. Check the key
EnableUPnPinserver.cfgif it is set to NX, if not set it and restart nxserver.Then please run a terminal and execute the commands:

I don’t understand if I have to execute these commands only if the UPnP wasn’t enabled ?
I also followed the guide to activate the log file, I have left out the activation of the log file concerning web sessions;
Today for example it worked well automatically on Debian and on Windows 8.1…I don’t know why some times it don’t work fine 🙁

I asked to check if UPnP is enabled just to be sure, as you want to use UPnP feature it should be enabled all the time.
1. Enable the logs by following the instructions on the server side using the article https://www.nomachine.com/DT10O00163#1 (alternatively there is https://www.nomachine.com/DT10O00162 which is a less technical version).
2. As you can see here: https://www.nomachine.com/DT10O00163#1.4.
you will find the logs on Windows in
%PROGRAMDATA%/NoMachine/var/log on Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. Documents and Settings/All Users/NoMachine/var/log on Windows XP.For example:
C:\ProgramData\NoMachine\var\log3. Reproduce the problem and show us the result of the following commands::

It’s important to reproduce the problem once you’ve enabled everything and then zip the logs.
