I am using Gentoo Linux on two machines; I had KDE4 on both of them, and NoMachine was working fine, both ways. Recently I upgraded one of them to KDE5 and NoMachine stopped working properly: it doesn’t add a systray icon anymore; I can still connect to the other machine by running nxplayer manually, but when I try to connect back from the other machine, it can’t find the display and offers to create a new one.

I upgraded to the latest NoMachine (5.1.44) but it still has the same problems. When I try to connect from the other machine, I get the message:
“Cannot detect any display running. Do you want NoMachine to create a new display and proceed to connect to the desktop?”

I can confirm that I’m still running X (not Wayland), and local programs are working fine with DISPLAY=:0

Thanks, let me know if you need any more information from me. I hope you can fix it soon.
    Also, what’s a bock? 🙂

I think what Bilbotine meant was ‘tick the box’ to receive the notification and submit an email address 😉 You should update your software in any case since it was fixed in 5.1.62, just released.
