What are the recommended settings when only connecting within the local LAN, where all devices have a 1Gbit/s ethernet connection?

    The host is a Core i3-9100 w/ 32GB RAM.

I believe only very low compression is needed (or none at all) which will improve speed on high bandwith connections.

Should I switch to MJPEG for example? What other settings can be adjusted? I am looking for a near-realtime interaction experience with the host desktop (no remote gaming/audio/video playback).

    Hi,

NoMachine automatically adapts to network conditions, so I wouldn’t change many of the default options. In particular I’d leave H.264 as it could leverage hardware encoding and decoding.  In the Display settings panel I’d change display quality to max, choose to request 60 frame per second and select ‘Disable frame buffering on decoding’ along with ‘Disable client side image post-processing’. You may also want to disable UDP by clicking to Edit the connection and selecting Advanced settings.

    Thanks so much!

I seem to have quite a realtime connection now 🙂

However there is one thing bothering me: unsharp text. I am on a Macbook Pro 2018. The hostPC has a 1440p monitor connected.

Via settings (client side) I lowered the resolution to 1920×1200 and “Match the client resolution upon connecting”. Now text is more readable (less vertically stretched) but still quite blurry.

When I change the resolution via Client side NoMachine settings to the native resolution of the Macbook (2560×1600) text appears stretched and weird..

Is ‘Fit to window’ disabled in the Display panel of the session menu?

And can you send a screenshot?
