    Hello,

I installed NoMachine on my PCs but encountered a problem when I want to connect from my home laptop (Win 10, newest version) to my two work PCs (Win 7, newest version and Linux RPM x86_64. When I want to connect to my PCs via Internet the connection only works one way. I can connect from my work to my home PC, but not from my home PC to work. When I try to connect I get the error message: A connection timeout has occurred while trying to connect to ‘xxxx’ on port ‘4000’ (for both, Linux and Win PC). I made sure that the ip is actually the external ip and kind of disabled the firewall for the connection. I gathered the log files as stated in your homepage and send them via email (same title) before making this post.

Can you please let me know what the issue is?

    Thank you very much.

    Best regards,

    Roland

Hello, it could possibly be your router. Some routers don’t automatically accept UPnP or NAT-PMP commands, so it’s necessary to configure it manually through its administrative interface. Please consult this article for trouble-shooting.

If that doesn’t help, we’ll need you to submit the logs from the server side, which you can then submit here or directly to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com. Logs can be found by following the instructions here: https://www.nomachine.com/DT10O00163
