    Hi,

Just upgraded my Fedora 20 running Xfce to 4.2.17. Unfortunately all icons disappeared, seem to reappear randomly when I disconnect and reconnect to the session. Also the terminal window text shows strange icons instead of letters when typing. Resizing the windows makes the letters appear again. Everything was working perfectly with 4.1.29. Tried a complete reinstall, but same problems shows up.

We are working at the problem. It seems to have to do with some Pixmaps or RENDER Pictures not recreated correctly at session reconnect.

This appears to be a randomness. We didn’t change anything which may have remotely to do with this bug, so also the 4.1.29 is probably affected.

    Ok, thanks for the info.

In my case this behavior shows up immediately at the first virtual session startup, but maybe it is the same problem that you are looking at. I have tried a few times to move between 4.1.x and 4.2.x, and the problem is triggered for me when using 4.2.x. But of course that could be a number of reasons if you are certain that the problem always has been present.

Just want to clarify that the problem seems to go away completely if I disable “lightweightmode”.

4.2 has far more artifacts in lightweight mode versus 4.1 on Linux.

    4.1 player & 4.1 server = very few artifacts

4.1 player & 4.2 server = very high level of artifacts and missing icons and sections of the screen

4.2 player & 4.2 server = slightly better level of artifacts, but still many areas not correctly rendered.  You have to hover your mouse over these areas to force it to display.

    Hi all,

we are working on those glitches. They should be fixed in the upcoming update.
