I’m new to the mac side of the house. When connecting from OSX10.8/NX4.4.1 to RHEL6.6/NX4.4.1, where the linux box has Ctrl/CapsLock swapped. In a terminal window NX is pretty confused about what to do with any metakey/letter combo. CapsLock toggles case as expected but Command, Alt or Func plus letter pretty much just echos the letter. Anyone had any luck with this combination.  (I have tried swapping the mac’s keys, and that doesn’t change things)

The NoMachine client for OS X does not detect if CapsLock and Ctrl keys are swapped. I think the only thing you can do is to restore the original mapping of the keys on the server when you are connecting from an OS X client:

    setxkbmap -option “”

To swap them again when needed:

    setxkbmap -option “ctrl:swapcaps”
