USB forwarding of iPhone to Mac OS 10.13.1 not working

Hi,

I’ve been going through the forum posts about similar issues and have tried the workarounds I’ve found, but nothing is working for me.

My situation is this, I’m connecting from Windows 10 through NoMachine to macOS 10.13.1, trying to forward an iphone through USB. I can get other devices to show up in ioreg -p IOUSB but not the iphone. I encountered something really strange while testing this, it takes upwards of 5 minutes for a flash drive to actually show up in finder, while it shows up immediately when i do ioreg -p IOUSB. Not sure what that is all about?

Back to the iPhone, I have authorized it on the Windows machine through iTunes and then connected it via NoMachine, but it never shows up on the macOS machine.

I tried also uninstalling iTunes after authorizing, but that didn’t help at all.

I’m using NoMachine v.6.078 on both the local and remote, its the free version.

Hi,

Can you please tell me what iPhone you try to share and what version of iOS is installed here?

And also, what is your laptop hardware (screen of window “About This Mac”) ?

Hi,

The iOS version on the iphone is 11.1.2, its an iphone 6s.
I’ve attached screen shots of the OS info regarding my Windows laptop and the macOS cloud machine I’m renting.

Hi,

We checked this case, and find out that usb forwarding is not working with iOS 11+. We have opened a Trouble Report about this, and will try to fix it asap. If want, you can subscribe to this TR and will get notification, when it will be fixed.
