    Hi,

I would like to know if there is a way to configure NoMachine 6 to use ffmpeg that has been compiled with hardware video decoding enabled. I have an Nvidia Geforce GT 730 (GK208) that is supported. I’ve pasted below what ffmpeg reports while using Manjaro XFCE Edition 17.1.6 with Nvidia 390.25 driver in use. I know this distro is not officially supported but NoMachine is available in the AUR repo.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

It’s not currently supported though our developers are in the final stages of getting this implemented which will allow you to utilize HW decoding on Linux via the vaapi decoder directly rather than through ffmpeg libs: https://www.nomachine.com/FR06O03453. You can sign up to receive a notification of when it’s been released if you wish.
