This started happening yesterday. My host computer is a W10 same as my remote computer. I can connect to my host no problem but I started noticing some of the graphics were messed up yesterday. Some apps would straight up show a black/white or transparent screen as well. I’ve tried tweaking my display settings on both NoMachine and my host PC. But none of the combinations would work.
Even though the apps are showing as black or white screen I can still see that buttons are clickable. For example, I estimated where the “Play” button is for Spotify window and clicked around that general area and the music will start playing even though the app itself is transparent. I’ve attached screenshot to show these scenarios:
1) This screenshot shows that Spotify is transparent (with a very vague border) and is barely visible. I’ve also opened up the Display Settings for my Host PC. Notice how the scroll bar has been scrolled to the bottom but the setting window itself is clearly stuck at the top. If i click “100% Recommended” nothing happens because even though it’s showing up in the screen, it’s technically not there since I’ve already scrolled the setting windows all the way down.
2) In this screenshot I have Ableton Live opened. We can see that the menu bar at the top is visible but everything else is white (Some black on the right hand side but Ableton should be full windowed at this point).
I’m stumped so any advice or help would be much appreciated! 🙂

Is the remote computer “headless” (i.e. has no monitor attached)? Or, in case it is a laptop, is the lid closed?
In case, can you try to attach a monitor, or leave the lid open, and check again?June 30, 2020 at 09:02 #28318
Hi there! My host is a desktop with a monitor. But i seem to have fixed the issue there… I updated my graphics card driver on my host and seems to be okay for now. Thanks!June 30, 2020 at 10:54 #28337fra81Moderator
