    Hello,

Where can I find a simple tutorial for NX authentication with a Windows key pair?

    I already read this https://www.nomachine.com/AR02L00785
But that’s not enough, this is not working, it lacks explanations.

How to generate the key pair, with puttygen? with what parameters? where i must place the public key?
Is there any parameter to add in the server.cfg?

    Thank you

    I found by myself.

The public key must be put in the hidden folder .nx, who is itself in the %userprofile% folder of the user who installed NoMachine.

There is also a document which handles in detail the different methods of authentication. It’s in the Documents section of Support. Please consult section 3:

As for putty, you might find the official documentation useful, e.g, https://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/0.73/htmldoc/Chapter8.html#pubkey-puttygen
