@graphixillusion, this is the Trouble Report you need to follow: https://www.nomachine.com/TR04P08501
You can sign up to receive notification of its fix using the ‘notify me’ service 🙂
April 19, 2018 at 11:12 in reply to: Ssh-agent integration client side, "Forward Authentication" #18185BritgirlKeymasterWe’ve inserted a Feature Request to handle correct functioning of SSH-agent authentication forwarding. Until that is implemented, users can authenticate using SSH protocol through Password, Private key, Smart card and Kerberos.
Adding SSH agent forward-authentification method
https://www.nomachine.com/FR04P03602BritgirlKeymasterYou will both be happy to know that implementation of this Feature Request has been scheduled for 6.1 which is not far off.
Locking the screen automatically when the NoMachine session is disconnected

BritgirlKeymasterThis free version is only for connecting to the physical desktop. It’s equivalent amongst the pay-for version is Enterprise Desktop.
In the terminal server range, which is dedicated to offering multiple virtual Linux desktops, only specific users are allowed to connect to the physical desktop:
IÂ Â Â Privileged system users (root or ‘sudo’ users)
IIÂ Â Â NoMachine administrators
IIIÂ Â Â NoMachine users trusted for connections to the physical desktop
IVÂ Â Â The desktop ownerSee more about this in section 10 of the Workstation guide: https://www.nomachine.com/DT03O00126. There you will find details on how to add specific users to allow them to connect to the physical display.
April 12, 2018 at 13:02 in reply to: NoMachine login method deprecated in v6… but not for Windows #18162BritgirlKeymasterThe forums can’t handle potential issues with 3.5.0 servers (or clients) and this version is now legacy, so should we receive logs for this particular topic, it will be handled accordingly by the support team.
BritgirlKeymasterHi, to access your remote Windows (on which you must have installed NoMachine) you will also need NoMachine on the iPhone. At the moment, NoMachine for iOS is only available for iPads, but an optimized version for the iPhone is going to be released very soon. You can sign up to receive notification of when it’s available by clicking ‘notify me’ next to the Feature Request here: https://www.nomachine.com/FR02N03015.
April 3, 2018 at 10:35 in reply to: How to boot machine in safe mode from an outbound connection #18083BritgirlKeymasterThis particular feature, booting into safe mode and NoMachine starting automatically, is not currently supported. We are evaluating whether it can be added to our roadmap.
April 3, 2018 at 10:22 in reply to: CentOS7 / vmware vSphere / resolution 800×600 only / unknown display #18082BritgirlKeymasterFra81 was suggesting that you try the Workstation because this is the product that offers the virtual Linux desktop functionality (it’s the link that you pasted, from the enterprise Terminal Server range). You have installed the free version which offers remote access to the physical desktop of the remote host you are connecting to.
Try the evaluation and let us know if this solves the issue.
BritgirlKeymasterI think I must have been editing my reply whilst you were posting yours 🙂
At the moment, dragging a folder is not supported. Only files, single or multiple, can be dragged and they will be dropped on to the desktop. The implementation of this Feature Request will make copying files and folders easier letting you visualize two panes (remote vs local) .
Improving file transfer service by offering a client side file browsing
https://www.nomachine.com/FR03N03065BritgirlKeymasterHi, we raised priority on this FR and it will be implemented in an upcoming maintenance.
BritgirlKeymasterIn the past when I connected to the nx server I could choose from a list of sessions.
Do you mean version 3.5.0? If so, NX Free Edition was replaced by the Workstation. This allows you to run virtual Linux desktops (up to 4) and then you will have a list of sessions available.
BritgirlKeymasterDrag and drop should be working. Can you confirm what the OS and version is on your side and what you are connecting to? And what type of file are you trying to drag?
I realize now I wasn’t clear enough. You don’t need to connect a disk to be able to drag and drop, you should just be able to drag a file (not folder) and drop it on the desktop (remote to local or local to remote). Does this work? If not, tell me your OS and version both sides, so we can investigate 🙂
BritgirlKeymasterAre you referring to the issue you reported here? https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?s=6fea2bf614c469aafdd8d467114932bc&p=5835315
It seems it was an nvidia problem? Is it now resolved?
For more information about how NoMachine handles software and hardware encoding on, not just on Linux, please take a look at the article in our KB here:
What do I need to do to allow NoMachine software to use H.264?
https://www.nomachine.com/AR10K00706March 21, 2018 at 14:52 in reply to: How to boot machine in safe mode from an outbound connection #17983BritgirlKeymasterThis will work, but remember that before attempting to do anything like this it is strongly advised to make a back up.
BritgirlKeymasterIt’s not currently supported though our developers are in the final stages of getting this implemented which will allow you to utilize HW decoding on Linux via the vaapi decoder directly rather than through ffmpeg libs: https://www.nomachine.com/FR06O03453. You can sign up to receive a notification of when it’s been released if you wish.
