Uninstall NoMachine and check if nx user is present. If it is, remove it and then reinstall NoMachine.
April 10, 2017 at 14:49 in reply to: After update to Windows 10 CU (1703) "No available session on server" #14331BritgirlKeymasterHi everyone, just to let you know we are working on a fix. It’ll be released as soon as possible.
April 10, 2017 at 14:47 in reply to: NoMachine server service won’t stay running in Creators update of Win 10 #14330BritgirlKeymasterIt’s the same issue here:
https://www.nomachine.com/forums/topic/after-update-to-windows-10-cu-1703-no-available-session-on-serverPlease follow this link. We are working on a patch to be released soon.
April 10, 2017 at 14:33 in reply to: Multi-monitors blank when connected and server keeps restarting #14329BritgirlKeymasterWe are aware of an issue in multi-monitor set-ups: https://www.nomachine.com/TR12M06304
This seems to be what you are experiencing (sign up to Notify me in order to receive an email from us when we’ve released the update including the fix). You will have to submit logs to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com, they were refused by our attachment tool. The restarting of the nxserver service is most likely a symptom of the TR, but we can check them to make sure.
BritgirlKeymasterThe floating mouse cursor can happen with certain Linux desktop environments: https://www.nomachine.com/AR07M00851
So there’s no need to start a new thread 😉
BritgirlKeymasterJust to confirm that we received the crashDump. We’ll update the topic once with the results of any further investigation.
April 10, 2017 at 10:06 in reply to: Setting work PC (when it is VPN to corporate network) as server #14320BritgirlKeymasterIt’s not quite clear what the set-up is. Is the problem that your work’s computer is part of a restricted corporate network and your cannot access to it from home?
BritgirlKeymasterI thought I had updated this topic. Sorry for the delay. Right now it’s not possible to install the client without services. We are evaluating whether it can be possible to allow users to do that.
BritgirlKeymasterHi, I’ve fixed the link, can you try again please 🙂
BritgirlKeymasterSorry for not providing any further news on this. It’s in the queue, we promise 😉
BritgirlKeymasterHi, can you just confirm that it is Fedora? Is that 32bit or 64?
Also, just to be sure, are you using any brightness changing apps like f.lux on the server side?
BritgirlKeymasterjn505, I supposed you are using the free version on the server side. If you are using the free version on the server side, this will only ever allow you to connect to one of your display options (1 connection, 1 physical display). If you had a Workstation installed (which doesn’t limit the connections being created), for example, you would be given the option to choose which one you want to connect to rather than just one.
BritgirlKeymasterHi, the address is forum[at]nomachine[dot]com. Apologies for that. Can you send them again? I believe Cato was referring to the client logs on the server side.
April 4, 2017 at 14:06 in reply to: Linux session crash with memory max usage on session reconnect? #14247BritgirlKeymasterWe’ll need logs (see here on how to extract them https://www.nomachine.com/DT07M00098) and the stack trace. Send to forum[at]nomachine[dot]com referencing your topic.
BritgirlKeymasterkusspuss, the advice you were provided above is for the machine you want to connect to. We assumed you were trying to connect to a Linux VPS, so we gave you some tips to help you set up your Linux VM.
If i want to connect to Linux vps than how can I do that?
Can we ask what VPS you are using? We might be able to give you more precise instructions.
If you are not in control of the machine or VM you want to connect to, then you need to check with the administrator of that machine what the IP address is and check with them that the right port is open. Then from your Windows client (the computer you are connecting from) you should use that information to connect (like in the Getting started guide here: https://www.nomachine.com/getting-started-with-nomachine#internet, see fig. 8).
I suggest that you are clearer about the computer you want to connect to. We understand that you are using Windows as the connecting client, but what’s the OS you want to connect to? Have you installed NoMachine on it?
