    Hello ycavan

there is no switch to automatically set depth to 8 bit, but you can tweak the display setting in order to get a better badwidth/CPU tradeoff.

Within a running remote session, press Ctrl+Alt+0 to get the menu, then navigate to “Display”, “Change settings”. Two things you can try – for example – are:

    – The “Quality” slider
    – The “Disable client-side image post processing” box

    Hello.

I think that it could work if you if attach a second USB mouse to the client host and forward it to the server.

When you are connected press Ctrl-Alt-0, select “Devices” and “Connect a USB device”. Select the mouse you want to forward and press “Connect”.

Be aware that forwarded device disappear from client host, so it is better to use a second mouse if you need one on the client while playing the game.

    Hello fjunillon.

Could you gather the complete set of logs? Look at this article: https://www.nomachine.com/AR07K00677

Thanks for the suggestion. We will certainly evaluate and if it fits in with our roadmap, we’ll open a Feature Request.

The feature that you’ve described looks exactly the same that is implemented in Gnome or KDE, as you noticed. The word you used perfectly describe such a feature. The main issues would be about integrating it with the existing user interface (thanks again for the suggestions) and introducing the idea of workspace that would be completely new for some users.

Thank you. We found out where the problem is. This annoying behavior is related to synchronization of client and server modifiers state. We are going to handle it.

    Hello frob.

Is it possible that your Windows has no mouse installed, or is the mouse turned off when you use NoMachine to acces it remotely?

I see you have three network addresses: have you installed any virtual interface on your system?

If you want I can build a debug library for you in order to gather more information.

    Fabian,

users need to handle this situation by theirselves changing the keyboard settings in KDE. They need to switch to German when connecting from remote and restoring US when using the keyboard physically attached to the server host.

KDE can configure a keyboard shortcut in order to switch quickly among different languages.

    Hello Daisukiniwa,

have you tried with display acceleration disabled? About your concerns, if you disable it your server switches to a different method of screen grabbing, while DirectX is still available but you lose the ability of capture DirectX applications in full screen mode.

You can run the custom session in a “virtual desktop” rather than in “floating window” mode. This would default the DPI to 100.
