    I just started an update on Manjaro.

    Everything completed ok except for nomachine.
    Error while configuring nomachine is what I was presented.

    Does the above “bug” still seem like the issue?

    Hope this helps but unfortunately the GDB process listed above is beyond my abilities.

    Thanx!

    Oh! Maybe this will help:

    Thanx @Britgirl.  I got the patch, but it is not in a format I know how to apply.  I have tried to install on my Manjaro through several ways, (and my newness is likely the problem with that!) I have attempted through pacma as local source, but I think it wants an .xy file?

    Anyway, please tell me how I can apply this patch?  As you can see from my prior posts, installing as shown in the readme give me a result of:

    ERROR: Unsupported operating system ‘arch’.

    @Britgirl, I may be the same as @wxnarwhal, but I am not sure… plus the rating “Severity Minor” does not seem right as I have not found a way to get past the issue and do any control remotely.

    Obviously, I am new at this, so please let me know?

    BTW, I am happy to buy a license or donate to get past this, but also to find that support is more timely than this appears, if the bug you refer to has been open since October, does not allow control, and seems to be on all platforms, I would think that is severe, right?

    Anyway, Thanx!

    @Britgirl I have a picture of what I get.

    Oooooops!

    The remote host ‘xx.xxx.xx.xxx’ refused to establish a connection on port ‘22160’. Please verify that NoMachine is correctly installed and listening on the port where youare trying to connect, and that incoming traffic is not being blocked by a firewall or a NAT.

    =========

    I typed what I saw so it may have typos!

    I have returned home so urgency is no longer desparate! But I would like to fix this.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled on both machines. Still the same results.

    I followed this: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/nomachine/?O=0&PP=10

    Where comments suggest using the “patch” but when I follow the direction in the READ ME it gives me:

    sudo NX_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr NX/nxserver –install
    [sudo] password for jim:
    ERROR: Unsupported operating system ‘arch’.

    Available options:
    –install {SYSTEM}
    –update {SYSTEM}
    –help

    The specified SYSTEM must be one of the following operating systems.
    If not the NoMachine setup will try to autodetect the system or will choose
    the layout that better resembles one of the known OS.

    redhat Red Hat Enterprise 4 and later.
    suse SLED 10 and later, SLES 10 and later, Open SUSE 10 and later.
    slackware
    mandriva Mandriva 2009 and later.
    debian Debian 4.0 and later.
    Ubuntu 8.04 and later.
    fedora Fedora 10 and later.

    So I am left without NoMachine working. Please advise?

    Thanx!

    Please allow me the patch?

    I installed NoMachine onto my remote home computer, and now, while away on vacation, cannot get into it.  Can I do anything or get support to access it now from afar?

    Thank you
