Is it safe to always create a new display on this server?

    NoMachine 6.2.4, Ubuntu 18.04

I login with User1 and select this checkbox.
When I login with User2, I see the home dir of User1

What I would like is an option:-

“Always create a new display on this server using the account I’m logging in with”.
To avoid having to select Yes to the question “Cannot detect any display running”, because I’m lazy, and the “Always create a new display on this server” is still dangerously present.

    Can this be done?

    Hello

Unfortunately it is impossible to do what you described on the free version. We only allow for one session to run, so to be able to switch users sessions you would need to terminate before logging out, log in with another user and click “Yes”, or have the proper desktop environment running, where desktop manager can take care of user switching.

“Always create a new display on this server” is also not an option, because it will only allow for one user to have this session, and it will be always started when the NoMachine is starting.

@jradxl, the free version of NoMachine allows for one connection to the remote host as Mth states. It’s for remote desktop access. Could it be that what you are looking for is a product from the Terminal Server range maybe?
